5lb bag of North Star Rhizomatous Tall Fescue with lateral spread technology is a mixture of the very best of the new Turf Type Tall Fescue cultivars. Varieties selected score at the very top in the NTEP trials for turf quality, wear tolerance, low maintenance performance, leaf texture, endophyte enhancement and disease resistance, especially brown patch.

North Star is a 100% rhizomatous (spreading) tall fescue that will establish and grow in all conditions - even full shade. It can withstand heat, drought, and cold better than standard grass types. Unlike other tall fescue varieties, this spreads laterally to fill in bare patches.


How To Use

  • New Seeding: Spread 8 lbs per 1,000 sq ft on bare ground.
  • Overseeding: Use 4 lbs per 1,000 sq ft to thicken up existing lawns.
  • Water: Keep soil consistently moist until seedlings emerge, then water deeply and regularly during the first growing season.
