This proactive pre-emergent formula prevents crabgrass and 20+ other common lawn weeds — so you don’t wait until they germinate and wreak havoc.
Why Weed Wipeout works to stop crabgrass:
-
An advanced, USDA-Organic-Program-compliant blend built around hydrolyzed corn gluten that interrupts weed-seed germination.
-
Covers up to 1,500 sq ft per bottle (one application) — enough to protect a typical home lawn.
-
Safe for kids, pets and beneficial soil life — no synthetic herbicides, no compromise.
-
Made in the USA and includes a hose-end sprayer for hassle-free application.
What sets Weed Wipeout apart:
-
Pre-emergent power: Unlike spot treatments, this product is designed for before the weeds start. That means less pulling, less patchiness, less frustration.
-
Broad-spectrum root-level defense: Stops crabgrass and over 20 other common weed seeds (including barnyardgrass, annual bluegrass, clover, dandelion, etc.).
-
Safety meets strength: Because you’re applying proactively — and because it’s organic-compliant — you can lounge, play & enjoy your lawn without second-guessing.
-
Easy to apply: Hook up the hose, spray the lawn in early spring or fall, avoid irrigation for 24 hours, and you’re done. (Then simply re-apply every ~60 days during the active weed-germination window for best results.)
When to Apply
Apply in early spring before crabgrass and other weeds germinate — typically when soil temperatures reach around 50–55°F for several days in a row.
For cool-season lawns, you can also apply in the fall when soil temps are again near 50°F to prevent winter annual weeds like chickweed and henbit from sprouting.
Note: This is a pre-emergent product — meaning it prevents new weeds from forming. It will not eliminate weeds you already see. For existing weed problems use our Broadleaf Weed Control.

Weed Wipeout FAQ
When should I apply Organic Crabgrass Control?
Apply in early spring, before crabgrass and other weeds begin to germinate. A good rule of thumb: when soil temperatures reach about 55°F for several days in a row, it’s go time. In many regions, that’s March–April. Weed Wipeout can also be applied in the fall to fight winter weeds. It should be applied when soil temperatures are around 55°F for several days in a row, which varies depending on region.
How does this product actually work?
Weed Wipeout's formula uses hydrolyzed corn gluten, a natural pre-emergent that stops weed seeds from sprouting roots after germination. It doesn’t kill existing weeds—it simply prevents new ones from taking hold.
Can I use this if I already have weeds?
Weed Wipeout will not kill existing weeds (though it will prevent additional weeds from sprouting). Pre-emergents work before weeds appear. If you already have visible weeds, try our Broadleaf Weed Control product.
Is it safe for kids and pets?
Yes! We recommend that you wait to use the lawn until the product has dried (typically within a few hours). The formula is completely safe for kids, pets, and beneficial soil organisms. No harsh chemicals or synthetic herbicides.
Will this harm my grass?
No. When used as directed, it actually supports a stronger, denser lawn by allowing your grass—not weeds—to take up space and nutrients. Weed Wipeout also contains nitrogen, which helps healthy grass grow in thicker and crowd out weeds.
Do I need to water it in?
No. Avoid watering for at least 24 hours after application so the formula can form a natural barrier in the soil. After that, you can resume normal watering.
How often should I reapply?
For best results, apply every 6–8 weeks during your local growing season. Two to three applications per year provide season-long protection against crabgrass and other annual weeds.
Can I apply grass seed at the same time?
We don’t recommend it. Since this product prevents all seeds from germinating (including grass), wait 8 weeks after application before seeding.
What’s in it?
Just naturally-derived ingredients: hydrolyzed corn gluten, organic-compliant surfactants, and natural stabilizers. No synthetic herbicides, dyes, or unnecessary additives.
What size lawn does one bottle cover?
Each bottle treats up to 1,500 square feet—roughly the size of a medium front yard. Larger lawns may need multiple bottles or our bundle options for full coverage.
