Lawnbright LIme Boost is a liquid calcium and magnesium supplement that helps raise pH (reduce soil acidity). We include Lime Boost in plans where the soil test indicates that the pH is below the ideal range for the type of grass. By bringing soil pH up, nutrients become more available for uptake by the lawn.
Lime Boost is also a great option to apply in the fall, because it helps the lawn absorb nutrients better, strengthens roots, and increases resilience before winter dormancy.
When to Apply:
Apply Lime Boost according to the instructions in your lawn plan or pack. Lime Boost is provided to plan subscribers at the appropriate time for their climate and soil test results.
How to Apply:
-
Shake the bottle well and then remove the cap.
-
Insert the spray top, straw side down into the bottle.
-
Attach the bottle to your hose on the other end of the sprayer top. Turn the hose on and the plastic dial to “on.”
-
Spray evenly on your lawn in a back and forth motion, covering the lawn evenly.
-
Follow any additional instructions within your lawn plan for best results.
Tips:
-
When you can, apply products in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid evaporation.
-
Applying lime is best when soil is moist and growth is active, but not during extreme heat or stress.
-
Lime is key for nutrient uptake: when soil is too acidic, many nutrients lock up and plants can’t access them efficiently.

FAQs:
What is Lawnbright Lime Boost? How does Lime Boost work?
Lime Boost is a liquid calcium and magnesium supplement that helps raise soil pH. By reducing soil acidity, Lime Boost helps make nutrients more available for uptake by your grass. Increasing calcium and magnesium helps to build stronger walls in grass plants as well.
If a soil test shows your pH is below the ideal range for your type of grass, lime will help bring it up so that nutrients are more available. It can also help your grass in the fall by increasing resilience and nutrient uptake prior to winter dormancy.
How do I know if I have a low pH?
At the start of any of our lawn plans, we provide a free soil test. This information will let us know your soil pH so we can adjust your plan accordingly. You can view your soil test results in your account dashboard, usually 2-3 weeks after you send it in.
Will I see immediate results on my lawn with Lime Boost?
Lime Boost is a soil conditioner, not a fertilizer with nitrogen, so you won’t see an instant green-up. However, your soil will be healthier, fertilizer you do apply will be more effective, and your lawn will bounce back better when growing conditions improve.
How much of my lawn will Lime Boost cover?
Each bottle covers about 3,000 sq ft. If you’re not sure of our lawn size, try Lawnbright’s handy Lawn Size Calculator.
Is Lime Boost safe for my kids and pets?
Yes. All of our products, including Lime Boost, are made from natural ingredients and no harsh chemicals. This means that they are safe for your kids and pets, as well as better for the earth and your grass.
Is Lime Boost part of my custom lawn plan?
Each of our custom lawn plans receives a distinct mix of products depending on your lawn’s needs and your soil test. So, you may receive Lime Boost as part of your plan, in which case you will receive specific instructions for timing and use.
Can I buy Lime Boost separately?
Lime Boost is exclusive to our Lawnbright custom plan subscribers and cannot be purchased separately. You can sign up for a custom lawn plan here.
