Cold Snap is a natural lawn winterizer that builds root strength, improves stress tolerance, and encourages dense early growth that naturally chokes out weeds the following spring. Cold Snap is a liquid winterizer containing a blend of natural ingredients. It is low nitrogen and contains potassium for cold resistance, phosphorus for root development, and sea kelp and hydrolyzed fished protein to feed soil biology.

Cold Snap Application Guide FAQs:
What is Cold Snap? How does Cold Snap work?
Cold Snap is a natural, liquid lawn winterizer. It contains the following ingredients:
-
2% Nitrogen: Just enough to support energy storage without encouraging unnecessary top growth
-
Potassium: Enhances your lawn’s cold tolerance and helps recover from snow and compaction
-
Phosphorus: Encourages deeper root development for long-term turf health
-
Cold Water North Atlantic Sea Kelp + Hydrolyzed Fish Protein: Natural sources of micronutrients and minerals that feed the soil and improve overall plant resilience
This blend mimics how nature nourishes plants and helps create healthy turf in the spring.
What size lawn does a bottle of Cold Snap cover?
Each bottle covers about 2,500 square feet - about the size of a tennis court. For reference, a 5,500 square foot lawn is about the size of a basketball court. This measurement does not include your house or landscaping features - just determine your lawn size by the amount of turf you are treating.

Will I see improvement in my lawn right away?
Cold Snap works below the surface to help strengthen roots during the winter, so you won’t see any change to your lawn after applying. However, your lawn will come back stronger in spring and will have a spring flush that helps thicken turf and crowd out weeds.

What else can I do for a healthy lawn this fall?
There are many steps you can take for a healthy fall lawn, including weed control, overseeding, dethatching, aerating and more. Fall is prime growing season for your lawn. You can get our fall lawn care tips here. Here are some of our top tips:
-
If you have a cool season lawn, overseed to help thicken your turf and crowd out weeds.
-
Dethatch before beginning lawn care. Rake away dead grass, loosen the soil, and water consistently.
-
Consider aerating before you apply product to help loosen compacted soil. You can do this with a manual aerator, a machine, or with Lawnbright Aeroflow liquid aeration.
-
Be sure to continue watering, about 1 inch of water per week. Use a rain gauge to track rainfall and avoid overwatering, and try to water in the early morning to avoid evaporation and fungal risk.
-
Mulch your leaves back into the lawn instead of bagging or raking them. Shredded leaves help to provide nutrients to the soil.
-
You should keep mowing regularly - at least one per week, keeping height of cut between 2.5-3.5 inches. Wrap up mowing once the leaves stop falling.
I’m a beginner. Are the products hard to apply?
Not at all! Lawnbright is designed to be beginner friendly, with no special equipment needed. Simply hook your Lawnbright products up to your hose and spray them on your lawn - that’s it!
